Emerson Network Power's PPCBug is the firmware at the heart of our popular PowerPlus Architecture boards. "Bug" is short for debugging environment, but PPCBug provides much more than just debugging. PPCBug firmware consists of three parts:

  • Command-driven user-interactive software debugger. Debugging commands are available for loading and executing user programs under complete operator control for system evaluation.
  • Command-driven diagnostic package for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Microprocessor, firmware, and hardware initialization routines.
